Weather Forecast for Monday: Relatively Hot Weather with Anticipated Thunderstorms in the Atlas Mountains
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts that this Monday, the country will experience relatively hot weather in the eastern desert regions, the southeastern part of the kingdom, and southern eastern areas.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to impact the high Atlas and Middle Atlas mountain ranges as well as the eastern high plateaus. Light rain is likely in the Atlantic plains extending from Kenitra to Safi, and in the coastal areas between Sidi Ifni and Tarfaya during the morning period.
Fog patches will form in the northern and central plains and in the northern parts of the southern provinces during the morning and at night. Dust is also expected locally in the southeastern region, the southeast, and within the desert provinces.
Winds will be moderately strong in the southeastern region and the high Atlas mountains, as well as along the central and southern coastlines.
As for the minimum temperatures, they will range between 9 and 15 degrees Celsius in the Atlas and Rif mountains, between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius in the northwestern desert regions and southeast, while other areas of the kingdom will register between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius.
Regarding maximum temperatures, there will be an increase in the central and southern regions, as well as in the southeastern area, while a decrease is expected in the remaining provinces.
The sea will be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean, and slightly rough to rough along the Strait of Gibraltar and other Atlantic coastlines.
