Morocco Ranked Sixth Among Arab Investors in Egypt

According to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt, Morocco has secured the sixth position among the largest Arab investors in Egypt for the fiscal year 2023/2024.

Egypt received Arab investments totaling $41.5 billion, led by the UAE with investments amounting to $38.9 billion, thanks to the “Ras Al-Hikma” project, which attracted $35 billion in UAE investments. Saudi Arabia ranked second with investments exceeding $775 million, followed by Qatar with approximately $618 million in investments during the past fiscal year.

Morocco stands in sixth place with investments estimated at $151.4 million.

There are currently 295 Moroccan companies operating in Egypt, with these investments concentrated in sectors such as cement, chemical industries, and building materials.
