Warning Bulletin: Thunderstorm Showers and Strong Wind Gusts Expected on Thursday and Friday in Several Regions of the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Meteorology has indicated that strong thunderstorm showers accompanied locally by hail and gusty winds are forecasted for today, Thursday, as well as strong wind gusts with local dust storms throughout several regions of the Kingdom.
In an updated orange alert bulletin, the Directorate explained that strong thunderstorm showers (25 – 50 mm) accompanied locally by hail and wind gusts are expected to affect the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Guercif, Tauriirt, Sefrou, Boulemane, Taza, Tinghir, Errachidia, and Midelt today from noon until 11 PM.
The same source added that strong wind gusts (75 – 90 km/h) with local dust storms will impact the provinces of Jerada, Tauriirt, Figuig, Oujda-Angad, Guercif, Boulemane, Azilal, Al Haouz, Errachidia, Tinghir, Midelt, and Ouarzazate, starting from noon today until 3 AM tomorrow, Friday.
