A woman carrying a bomb was killed in an explosion in the Greek city of Thessaloniki, according to police reports.
Authorities stated that the 38-year-old woman was apparently attempting to place the bomb in front of a nearby bank around 5 AM.
The explosion caused damage to the facades of several shops and vehicles.
The police added that the woman was known to them due to her involvement in previous thefts and indicated that they were investigating potential links to extremist leftist groups.
