Azziz Akhannouch, the Moroccan Prime Minister, affirmed that political action should be based on seriousness and commitment, rather than on abusive rhetoric. This statement was made during a speech at a party festival in Dakhla, marking the launch of a new communication tour for his party, the National Rally of Independents, under the slogan “Path of Achievements.”
Akhannouch emphasized that his party is focused on tangible achievements, arguing that those lacking realistic proposals or solutions would do better to remain silent to avoid contributing to what he described as “polluting the political atmosphere.”
He added that his government does not make false promises. If faced with difficulties in delivering on certain commitments, it communicates clearly with citizens. He indicated that a successful politician is one who listens to the community and responds to its aspirations.
Addressing his supporters, who numbered over two thousand, Akhannouch noted that the government faces systematic smear campaigns aimed at undermining its efforts. However, he stated that citizens’ awareness of the true circumstances enables them to distinguish between facts and claims.
He concluded by stating that attempts to disrupt have not only targeted government performance but have also extended to attacking Morocco’s image, criticizing certain political voices that he referred to as “disruptive.”
