In preparation for the African Cup of Nations, Fouzi Lekjaa motivates the U-20 national team
Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, held an inspirational meeting this evening with players of the national U-20 team at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, as they get ready to participate in the African Championship to be held in Egypt. This meeting is part of the ongoing policy to support national teams across all age categories.
According to a statement from the Federation on its official website, the meeting, which was filled with enthusiasm and mobilization, was a strong moment where Fouzi Lekjaa emphasized the importance of representing Morocco with seriousness and a fighting spirit, urging the players to aim for victory rather than merely participating. In his address, he stated: “You must play for the title, not just for the sake of appearance. You are not just representing this team; you are the future of the senior national team for the 2030 World Cup.”
Lekjaa affirmed that national teams at various age levels are part of a comprehensive training strategy aimed at establishing a solid base that will strengthen the senior team with qualified players. He pointed out that the U-20 players have a real opportunity to prove themselves and join the national elite in the near future, adding: “Football today is not just about technical skills; it’s also about experience and progression. The player who has gone through all the youth categories is the most prepared when reaching the high level.”
