Solidarity of Al-Mehdaoui with Al-Mouloua.. A Match Made in Heaven

- in Society

Hamid Mahdaoui’s recent outing is not an opinion, journalism, or an expression of a position. What he issued is a direct hostile rhetoric against the state and its institutions, and an open incitement to question the foundations of public order, under the pretext of “solidarity” with a complainant in a case about which he has no data.

Choosing to spontaneously side with Hassan El Mouloua simply because he belongs to the same ideological circle, while ignoring the progress of the complaint and infringing on the judiciary and security, is not a principled stance; rather, it is a blatant political exploitation of claims to freedom to settle personal scores and narrow interests.

It is unacceptable for YouTube channels to turn into platforms for spreading hatred and incitement against the state, and for the space to be left open for those who deliberately aim to undermine and demonize national institutions, especially when these outbursts become raw material for hostile Algerian media that invest in Mahdaoui’s statements and promote them as a propaganda weapon against Morocco.

What is troubling is not only the content of the video but the repetition of these videos, their regularity, and their constant coincidence with sensitive political events. This is not just coincidence. What Mahdaoui is doing falls within the category of systematic, organized, and intentional targeting. This targeting only serves those who dream of weakening Morocco from within and dismantling its national front.

Hamid Mahdaoui has never been a journalist as he claims. He has never respected the profession’s standards. He has not adhered to the principles of integrity and neutrality. Instead, he has built his career on the rhetoric of victimhood, distraction, and sensationalism. He is a YouTuber who exploits his platform to market himself as a false hero, while the truth is that he is merely a mouthpiece repeating a directed narrative, functioning as a tool for the country’s adversaries.

Freedom of expression is a sacred right. However, it does not justify betrayal. It does not grant immunity to those who falsely accuse the state, question its judiciary, attack its security, and provide raw material to its regional and international opponents.

The homeland is not a subject for bargaining, nor a platform for garnering views, nor a commodity to be sold in YouTube auctions. What is required today is not silence, but the activation of the law. Not hesitation, but determination.

Leaving figures like Mahdaoui to fill the void means emptying the meaning of the state, expanding the space for doubt, and opening the doors to anyone who confuses freedom of expression with freedom to betray.
