Fattah: Empowering Women Strengthens Morocco’s Resilience and Stability

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fattah, confirmed yesterday in Skhirat that empowering women enhances Morocco’s resilience and stability.

In a speech during a ceremony organized in honor of the ministry’s female employees on the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, Fattah stated that “the active participation of women in social life is a fundamental driver for progress and prosperity, and that empowering women strengthens the resilience of the nation and its stability.”

She explained that this conviction drives the ministry to continuously renew its commitment to enhance the integration of women in its various initiatives and programs.

Fattah also highlighted the tangible progress made by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, thanks to innovative initiatives aimed at promoting women’s leadership and enhancing their competencies, praising the efforts of the ministry’s female employees and their dedication to the success of its projects.

In this regard, Fattah pointed out that the ministry has launched, in partnership with the World Bank, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the economic integration of women, considering it a lever for growth and achieving equality. She added, “This project reflects our vision to place the empowerment of Moroccan women at the core of our priorities and aims to bring about a real transformation in their economic and social roles.”

She also referred to the implementation of an ambitious project in collaboration with UN Women, aimed at creating training programs for the ministry’s female employees by improving the existing training offerings and proposing programs that meet their professional needs.

The ceremony included the awarding of the “Outstanding Woman” award to winners in the “Honor” and “Hope” categories, aimed at encouraging creativity and excellence among female employees. Several women, who distinguished themselves in their professional careers and showed strong will in overcoming challenges, were honored for their contributions, dedication, and valuable contributions within the ministry.

In the “Creative Woman” category, four female employees were recognized for their achievements in various fields, including visual arts, literature, music, and decoration.
