Mondelēz Morocco Engages Its Employees to Create a Positive Impact in the Community
Mondelēz Morocco, a branch of Mondelēz International, organized the thirteenth edition of its annual initiative “Day of Commitment to Purpose,” which has become a firm tradition in the company’s journey to promote values of citizenship and volunteering.
This day, held in partnership with the Joyful Hour Association, saw the participation of nearly 70 employees from various departments, who dedicated a full day of volunteer work to the Second Chance School – New Generation in Ben Messik, contributing to activities aimed at supporting youth and revitalizing the spirit of solidarity within the local community.
This year’s edition carried the theme “Let’s Empower Our Future,” as part of the company’s “Change Makers” program, which aims to empower individuals and build a more sustainable and inclusive future. Mondelēz Morocco employees provided approximately 600 hours of volunteer service to the community on this day, demonstrating the company’s deep commitment to community development.
The program featured a variety of artistic, sports, and educational activities, including mural painting, music, gardening, sports, waste sorting, communal cooking, career guidance, and life skills development. Participants also contributed to beautifying the school’s surroundings, fostering a sense of solidarity and positive interaction between employees and beneficiaries.
In her remarks, Salma Llah, Head of Corporate and Government Affairs at Mondelēz Morocco, stated, “This year’s Day of Commitment to Purpose is particularly special as we take great pride in witnessing our employees engage with high spirits of giving and responsibility, clearly reflecting our commitment to making a positive and effective contribution to our communities.”
Llah added that collaboration with the Joyful Hour Association and the Second Chance School is part of a sustainable approach aimed at supporting Moroccan youth and enhancing their professional and social integration, stressing that “these volunteer initiatives are not measured solely by numbers, but by the profound human and community impact they leave behind.”
With this extensive participation, Mondelēz Morocco reaffirms its commitment to making the “Change Makers” program a permanent platform for promoting volunteer work and positive citizenship, encouraging its employees to engage continuously in initiatives that create a real and sustainable difference in Moroccan society.
