The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened today’s trading session on an upswing, with its main index, the “MASI,” registering an increase of 0.21%, reaching 18,034.54 points, recovering from a slight decline of 0.07% recorded during yesterday’s session.
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 of the largest listed companies in the market, also saw an increase of 0.17%, reaching 1,468.85 points.
Similarly, the “MASI.ESG” index, which includes companies with superior ratings in environmental, social, and governance sustainability criteria, rose by 0.25%, stabilizing at 1,231.76 points.
Moreover, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which measures the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, recorded a gain of 0.21%, reaching 1,776.72 points.
These indicators reflect a positive start to today’s trading, following a week-ending session that saw minor losses in the market, suggesting a relative recovery in investor confidence in certain sectors.
