Rachid Talbi Alami, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, held discussions yesterday, Thursday, at the Assembly’s headquarters with the Director-General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, Berik Arin, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom.
According to a statement from the Assembly, the talks between both sides focused on highlighting the major developmental projects that the Kingdom has undertaken under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at promoting the agricultural sector, achieving food and water security, and establishing the foundations of a social state.
The source added that the meeting was also an opportunity to review the role of the House of Representatives as an institution, as well as the responsibilities of the members of parliament in the fields of agricultural development and food security, through the competencies granted to the legislative institution by the Constitution of 2011 in areas of legislation, oversight, and public policy evaluation.
The discussions were attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Morocco, Mrs. Sulikhol Silukizi.
