The Atlas Lionesses will encounter Angola today, Monday, April 28, starting at 8 PM at the covered hall of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
Notably, the national team’s journey in this inaugural continental championship, established by the African Football Confederation, has been remarkable, beginning with a victory over Namibia with a score of 8-1, followed by a second win against Cameroon with a score of 7-1, qualifying them for the semifinals as group A leaders with six points.
The semifinal match against Angola is expected to be challenging due to the strength of the opponent, who also finished the group stage with a perfect record, winning against Guinea 5-2 and Egypt 3-1, with both teams eager to reach the final and secure a spot in the World Cup to be held in the Philippines.
