Berkane qualifies for the CAF Cup final

Berkane secured a spot in the final of the African Confederation Cup despite losing 1-0 to Algerian team Constantine on Sunday afternoon. This was the second leg of their semi-final match, and they advanced thanks to their impressive 4-0 victory in the first leg.

The first half ended in a goalless stalemate, with neither side able to create real scoring opportunities at the “Chahid Hamlaoui” Stadium in Algeria.

After the break, the Algerian squad aimed to score the opening goal, but Berkane’s defense held strong against Constantine’s attempts, preserving their lead from the first leg.

The home team continued to dominate possession, but it was Constantine who finally broke the deadlock with a goal from Abdel Nour Belhousini in the 47th minute.

Berkane is now heading to the CAF Cup final for the second consecutive time, having already defeated the Algerian team 4-0 in their previous encounter.

Berkane will face Tanzanian team Simba in the final after Simba overcame South Africa’s Stellenbosch with a 1-0 aggregate score across two legs.
