Atlas Lionesses Dominate Namibia in Opening Match of Futsal Africa Cup
Moroccan women’s futsal team triumphed over their Namibian counterparts with a score of 8-1 during their opening match on Tuesday evening, as part of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025.”
The national team successfully opened the scoring through Malak Zaid Al-Kilani, followed by goals from Doha Al-Madani, Somaya Hadi, Amel Al-Aoufi, and Al-Tadlawi, who each contributed to the total of four additional goals.
At the start of the second half, the national team intensified their pressure on the opponent to increase their tally, achieving this through Drisia Kourish. Namibia managed a consolation goal from Flety, but Yasmin Al-Dimrawi netted the eighth goal for Morocco shortly after.
Morocco is placed in Group A, which includes Namibia and Cameroon. The team is set to face Cameroon this Thursday at 8 PM.
It is noteworthy that the events of the Women’s Futsal Africa Cup of Nations are being held at the “Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex” in Rabat from April 22 to 30.
