The Moroccan national taekwondo team is participating in the International Taekwondo Federation President’s Cup (G-3) taking place in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, from April 25 to 28.

The Royal Moroccan Taekwondo Federation announced in a statement that Morocco will be represented in these competitions by Farah Touzani (under 46 kg), Nozha Assal (under 49 kg), Omayma Bouchtat (under 53 kg), Miriam Kholal (under 57 kg), Amina Dahawi (under 57 kg), and Nada Larej (under 62 kg).

The same source added that Sofia Ben Younes will represent the national team in the under 67 kg category, and Omayma Bouma (over 73 kg), Khadija Lamdardir (over 73 kg), Abdouni Hamid (under 74 kg), Hytham Zarghouti (under 80 kg), Rahali Ahmed (under 87 kg), and Lkhouir Zakaria (over 87 kg) will also compete.

The statement indicated that the winner of the gold medal will earn 30 points that enhance their position in the world ranking board.

In addition to Morocco, this African sports event will see participation from some of the strongest countries in this sport, including Tunisia, Egypt, Ivory Coast, France, Canada, Russia, Niger, and the host country Ethiopia.
