Estonia Reaffirms Support for Autonomy Plan

Estonia renewed its commitment on Tuesday to support Morocco’s autonomy plan proposed in April 2007 to resolve the issue of Western Sahara, describing the plan as “a good, serious, and reliable basis for a mutually agreed solution among the parties.”

This announcement was made by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna during a press conference following discussions in Tallinn with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, who is on a visit to Estonia, marking the first time a Moroccan foreign minister has visited the country.

The reaffirmation of this support aligns with the international dynamics led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, advocating Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara and its autonomy plan.

Thus, this support is in line with the spirit of the recent United Nations Security Council Resolution 2756, which acknowledged the momentum achieved and called for its utilization.
