Yahya Attiyatallah’s injury ends his season with Al Ahly.. and Youssef Belaïli is the closest to replacing him in the upcoming transfer window.
Egyptian media personality Ahmed Shobir confirmed that Yahya Attiyatallah’s season with Al Ahly has come to an end due to the injury he sustained during his team’s match against Pyramids in the Egyptian league.
Shobir stated on “On Sport FM” that Attiyatallah is suffering from a hamstring injury, which will keep him out of action for at least a month, effectively concluding his season with Al Ahly.
According to Egyptian media reports, Al Ahly has placed Youssef Belaïli, the left-back of Raja Casablanca, on their radar to reinforce the left-back position in the upcoming summer transfer window.
This interest comes after the injuries of duo Karim Al-Debis and Yahya Attiyatallah, prompting Swiss coach Marcel Kohler to request the signing of a new left-back in preparation for the upcoming Club World Cup.
Sources indicate that the push to sign Belaïli is still in the monitoring phase, as Al Ahly will determine its final position based on the developments in the injured players’ conditions, in addition to its ongoing search for options to compensate for the absences on the left side, which have been affected by injuries.
It is expected that the situation will become clearer in the coming weeks, especially with the summer transfer market approaching, giving Al Ahly the opportunity to adequately address the absence of the left-back to meet its ambitions.
