The Higher Institute of Media and Communication in Rabat has signed a partnership agreement with the “Carlos Septin Garcia” Journalism School in Mexico City, aimed at enhancing academic and professional relations between the two institutions, according to a statement from the Higher Institute of Media and Communication.

The agreement was signed by the Director of the Higher Institute of Media and Communication, Abdel Latif Ben Safia, and the General Director of the Mexican Journalism School, Analzin Diaz Alcala, during a ceremony held on Friday in Mexico City, attended by the Moroccan Ambassador to Mexico, Abdeftah Labar.

According to the statement, this agreement is part of the institution’s continuous effort to adopt international models in media and communication training, especially in Latin America.

Both institutions are committed to implementing the cooperation frameworks outlined in this partnership, which includes the establishment of an annual program for joint scientific and educational activities, faculty and student exchanges, and the organization of the first joint training forum in journalism and communication between Morocco and Mexico.

The agreement, as stated, aims to promote cultural and media exchange between Moroccan and Mexican societies by encouraging the production of joint research and media content by faculty and students from both institutions, which has been described as “historic.”
