Public Prosecution and Deposit Fund Sign Agreement to Digitize Notary Notifications

Public Prosecution and Deposit Fund Sign Agreement to Digitize Notary Notifications
A A

The Public Prosecution Office and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) signed a cooperation agreement in Rabat on Friday aimed at digitizing notifications related to notaries. This initiative reflects Morocco’s commitment to digital transformation and improving data exchange mechanisms between these two key institutions.

Strengthening Digital Collaboration

The agreement was inked by Hicham Belouafi, the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and head of the Public Prosecution Office, alongside Khaled Safir, the General Director of the CDG, at the Public Prosecution Office headquarters. This collaboration is designed to establish a structured framework for cooperation and coordination between the two entities.

Enhancing Efficiency

Central to this protocol is the implementation of digital mechanisms for exchanging notifications and data linked to instances of non-compliance identified by the CDG during notaries’ withdrawal operations. This initiative is underpinned by the provisions of Article 33 of Law No. 32.09, which governs the notarial profession. The agreement aims to enhance administrative performance while ensuring the seamless exchange of information in strict compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Context of Digital Transformation

This protocol is part of the broader momentum towards digitalizing public services and upgrading both administrative and judicial services through the integration of modern digital solutions. As Morocco continues to embrace digital tools, this partnership is illustrative of its strategic vision to streamline operations and improve service delivery across public institutions.

By fostering a closer relationship between the Public Prosecution Office and the CDG, this initiative not only promises to enhance operational efficiency but also to bolster the legal and administrative frameworks governing the notarial profession.
