Express TV: Mustapha Filali

Morocco’s national coach, Mohamed Wahbi, expressed his complete satisfaction with his players’ performance following their 2-1 victory in a friendly match against Paraguay in Lens, France, on Tuesday evening, praising the adjustments made during the game.

Wahbi noted in the press conference after the match, “This match was completely different from the one against Ecuador. It was essential to find some harmony and adapt to the opponent’s style.”

The national coach emphasized the importance of learning from experiences without rushing conclusions, adding, “I won’t draw all my conclusions now. I will focus mainly on our technical level and also on the opponents we will face in the World Cup.”

Speaking about the collective spirit that characterized the Atlas Lions’ play style, Wahbi mentioned his gradual approach: “I called up a large squad, and I was aware that some players wouldn’t participate, but I am very pleased with this group. The best and most prepared players will be selected for the World Cup.”

He added, “We shouldn’t change everything at once to maintain the cohesion and harmony of the group.”

Wahbi focused on striking a balance between ambition and humility, stating, “Our aspirations are very high, but we also maintain a great deal of humility, as we are now a team that everyone expects a lot from.”

He also expressed his satisfaction with the atmosphere during the training camp, confirming, “This first gathering took place in a completely calm atmosphere, and I am very pleased with the results of this camp.”
