Moroccan Ambassador to the United Nations, Omar Hilale, reaffirmed Morocco’s firm stance on the issue of Western Sahara, stating that Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern territories is “an undeniable fact that is non-negotiable.”

In an interview with an American television channel, the diplomat emphasized that Rabat is not engaged in any discussions that touch on its territorial integrity, clarifying that ongoing international talks focus solely on ways to resolve what he described as an “artificial” conflict.

Hilale added that any proposal that does not fully recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over its territory “lacks credibility,” both within the Kingdom and at the international level, asserting that such perspectives are far removed from realistic solutions.

He highlighted that Morocco’s position remains steadfast, based on a refusal to make any compromises or concessions regarding its lands, noting that historical and geographical facts, along with current developments, reinforce this direction.
