A A

Strengthening Academic and Professional Ties in Morocco

On April 15, Rabat became a hub of collaboration as AXA Services Maroc signed partnership agreements with Mohammed V University and the Higher School of Technology in Salé. These agreements aim to bridge the gap between academics and industry, responding to the evolving demands of the job market.

Paving the Way for Professional Development

The newly forged partnerships intend to create a practical framework for cooperation across training, communication, and the enhancement of employment opportunities for students. By developing continuing education programs that lead to diplomas and certifications, both institutions seek to align academic offerings with the rapid transformations within the labor market and business needs.

AXA Services Maroc is set to open its doors to students, offering internships, support for capstone projects, and participation in work-study programs. Additionally, a specific initiative within the agreement with the Higher School of Technology in Salé establishes a specialized training track in insurance professions, reflecting a mutual commitment to align educational curricula with the demands of economic players.

Commitment to Youth Employment

Thierry Goumon, the General Director of AXA Services Maroc, emphasized that these partnerships underscore the company’s commitment to nurturing talent and enhancing youth employability. He highlighted the importance of co-developing training pathways that meet the needs of the organization and facilitate student integration into the job market.

Mohammed V University’s President, Mohamed Rachashi, added that the university’s engagement with the socio-economic environment is crucial. By providing students with concrete opportunities to acquire practical skills, the partnership aims to boost their professional readiness.

A Broader Scope of Collaboration

Beyond training, this collaboration encompasses a wider array of areas tied to employability. Key components include identifying hiring needs at AXA Services Maroc, sharing job offerings, and providing students and graduates with internship opportunities, seasonal contracts, and positions. Furthermore, the partnerships extend into research and technical domains, with plans to launch joint projects and organize academic and professional events such as seminars, conferences, and hackathons. This approach aims to strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and practical application in an innovative environment.

Through these initiatives, both AXA Services Maroc and local institutions are poised to contribute significantly to the professional landscape in Morocco, creating pathways for students to thrive in an increasingly competitive job market.
