Remittances from Moroccans abroad reach 111 billion dirhams

The Office of Foreign Exchange has reported that remittances from Moroccans living abroad reached 111.53 billion dirhams by the end of November, compared to 109.8 billion dirhams during the same period last year.

The office noted in its monthly external trade indicators report that these remittances recorded a 1.6% year-on-year increase.

It also pointed out that the report showed a 22.4% rise in the trade deficit to 328.8 billion dirhams, due to an increase in imports (up 9.2% to over 725.34 billion dirhams) and exports (up 1.8% to about 423.54 billion dirhams).

Regarding the services balance, the same source added that it showed a surplus increasing by 15.1% to exceed 147 billion dirhams, resulting from an increase in imports (up 7.8% to 138.98 billion dirhams) and exports (up 11.4% to 285.9 billion dirhams).
