The Ministry of Interior urges citizens to exercise the utmost vigilance and caution due to expected weather disturbances. Recent alerts from the National Meteorological Directorate indicate that the Kingdom will experience significant weather changes in the coming days, characterized by unstable conditions, heavy to very heavy rainfall, localized thunderstorms, and snowfall in high-altitude areas, accompanied by strong winds likely affecting several regions of the country.

In this context, the ministry emphasized the necessity of taking all necessary precautions and preventive measures to avoid potential risks arising from these weather fluctuations. It urged people not to attempt crossing flooded roads or to traverse valleys and low-lying areas that may experience flash floods, and encouraged avoiding any reckless behavior that could compromise the safety of individuals or others, as well as property. It underscored the importance of fully adhering to the instructions and guidance of public authorities and specialized intervention teams.

The Ministry of Interior also recommended postponing unnecessary travel and movement, especially towards areas affected by these weather disturbances, to mitigate any potential risks that could disrupt traffic or threaten citizen safety.

Additionally, the ministry confirmed that local authorities, in close coordination with relevant departments and sectors, have implemented a range of proactive and preventive measures to address possible impacts from these weather conditions.

These measures include field interventions focusing on the cleaning and maintenance of drainage networks, the clearing of water paths and sensitive areas, addressing black spots prone to water accumulation, as well as mobilizing human resources and allocating necessary logistical means to ensure readiness for quick intervention and support when needed.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Interior reiterated its call for a sense of responsibility and positive engagement, emphasizing the importance of strictly adhering to guidelines and instructions issued by the competent authorities, which contributes to mitigating potential risks and ensuring everyone’s safety.
