Prince Moulay Rashid Receives National Team, Runner-Up of the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025
By royal instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rashid welcomed the members of the Moroccan national football team on Monday at the Royal Guest Palace in Rabat, following their achievement as runners-up in the Africa Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025.”
The reception was attended by the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, and the national team’s coach, Walid Rekraki, along with all the players and technical staff, where His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rashid took a commemorative photo with the team.
This meeting reflects the ongoing royal support for Moroccan youth, and highlights His Majesty’s attention to sports, particularly football, as a means of national success and enhancing the country’s prominence on the continental and international stages.
His Majesty had sent a congratulatory message to the national team immediately after the final match against Senegal, emphasizing that the Atlas Lions presented a model of perseverance and teamwork, showcasing the ability of Moroccan and African youth to achieve greatness when they believe in their talents and capabilities.
His Majesty added that the heroic performance of the team underscores the importance of the kingdom’s strategic vision in investing in human capital and modernizing infrastructure, which has demonstrated world-class readiness in preparation for hosting the World Cup 2030.
