Bensid: Coverage of the Al-Haouz Earthquake is Free from Deception.. 300 International Journalists and Over 2900 Reports Documenting Reconstruction
Minister of Communication and government spokesperson, Hassan Bensid, confirmed that the media coverage of the Al-Haouz earthquake was safeguarded against any deception, thanks to a wide mobilization of journalistic and informational resources.
Bensid explained that over 300 international journalists participated in covering the events, producing more than 2900 news pieces to document the reconstruction efforts and monitor humanitarian and construction interventions. He emphasized that this effort reflects the authorities’ commitment to ensuring transparency and providing an accurate depiction of the situation on the ground, away from rumors and misinformation.
The minister noted that coordination between local and international media contributed to delivering objective and comprehensive coverage, stating that the government will continue to support journalists to ensure the accurate delivery of information to citizens.
