Emmanuel Macron Condemns Trump’s Threats to Impose Tariffs on European Countries
French President Emmanuel Macron condemned, on Saturday, his American counterpart Donald Trump’s announcement of new tariffs on European countries opposing Washington’s attempts to acquire Greenland.
In a post on X, Macron stated, “Threats of imposing tariffs are unacceptable and have no place in this context,” asserting that Europeans “will respond in a unified and coordinated manner if this is confirmed, to ensure respect for European sovereignty.”
