His Majesty the King Approves Joining as a Founding Member of the Peace Council at the Initiative of American President Donald Trump
A A

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, the President of the Al-Quds Committee, has received an official invitation from His Excellency President Donald Trump of the United States to join as a founding member of the “Council for Peace,” an international initiative that the American president intends to launch to contribute to peace efforts in the Middle East and adopt a new approach to conflict resolution worldwide.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad indicated that membership in this council will be limited to a select number of prominent international leaders known for their active engagement in ensuring a safer and more prosperous future for generations to come. This invitation reflects the international appreciation for the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King and his status as an indispensable player in peace issues, as well as the trust he enjoys from the President of the United States and the international community.

After praising President Donald Trump’s vision and commitment to promoting peace, His Majesty, may God assist him, responded positively to this invitation, and the Kingdom of Morocco will begin ratifying the founding charter of the Council for Peace.

Legally, this council will be established as an international organization aimed at supporting stability, reinforcing governance principles, and ensuring sustainable peace in conflict-affected or threatened areas. Its tasks will be based on practical cooperation, fieldwork, and forging partnerships aimed at achieving tangible results, with membership exclusively by invitation from the President of the United States.

In a related context, the Kingdom of Morocco commended the announcement of the launch of the second phase of the comprehensive peace plan led by President Trump, as well as the official establishment of the National Committee for Gaza as a temporary transitional authority.

Under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco reaffirms its steadfast commitment to a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the Middle East, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side in peace with the State of Israel.
