The Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Boxing League held its annual general meeting for the 2024-2025 sports season yesterday, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the cultural center in Mdiq.
The meeting commenced with Mr. Jamal Shahab, the delegate of the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation, confirming the legal quorum with the attendance of 31 sports clubs out of 38, before discussing the agenda. The agenda included a moment of silence for the souls of some relatives of the league’s board members, as well as members of the associations and sports clubs.
After the attendees stood for the Moroccan national anthem, Mr. Abde Majid Akriba, President of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Boxing League, opened the meeting with brief remarks, expressing gratitude to the representatives of the clubs and sports associations in the region for attending and for their travel efforts. He praised the tremendous efforts made by its members to promote boxing in the region and to develop champions expected to shine on both the national and international stages in the future.
Despite its recent establishment, the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Boxing League has successfully carved out a distinguished place within the Moroccan sports system. Mr. Akriba hopes for a collaborative effort and continued hard work to expand its reach within the region in service of Moroccan boxing.
Following this, the President authorized the reading of the literary report by Secretary General Mohammed Yahyaoui Idrissi, as well as the financial report by Treasurer Aziz Lemrabt.
After deliberation, both reports were unanimously approved, concluding the meeting with the reading of a message of loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
