A Moroccan parliamentary delegation visited China to strengthen party and economic cooperation and to solidify the strategic partnership.
At the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party, the Moroccan parliamentary delegation representing the ruling parties participated in a working visit to Beijing and Shanghai from September 21 to 27, 2025. This visit reflects the robust ties between Morocco and China, which have entered a phase of strategic partnership since 2016.
The agenda included intensive meetings with officials from the International Liaison Department of the Chinese Communist Party, focusing on economic development, governance, party training, and coordination on international issues.
Additionally, the Moroccan delegation conducted field visits to prominent industrial and technological institutions, covering sectors such as automotive, chemicals, metals, and modern communications. They also learned about China’s experiences in urban planning, smart cities, and innovations related to artificial intelligence.
The political aspect was prominently highlighted, as the delegation reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to the autonomy initiative as a realistic solution to the Sahara issue, emphasizing the royal directions in health, education, social protection, and investment as the foundation of the national development model.
The visit demonstrated a mutual desire to deepen party and economic cooperation between the two countries, opening new avenues for partnership in innovation and modern urban planning.
