Phone Discussions Between Morocco and Russia to Deepen Strategic Partnership
In the context of strengthening Moroccan-Russian relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, held phone discussions on Tuesday with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. They addressed ways to expand cooperation and intensify political consultation between the two countries.
Both sides praised the progress achieved in Moroccan-Russian cooperation, thanks to the mutual will of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Vladimir Putin, culminating in the signing of the deepened strategic partnership during the King’s visit to Moscow in 2016.
The two ministers emphasized the necessity to develop this trajectory to encompass various issues of common interest, referring to upcoming bilateral commitments, particularly the preparations for the eighth session of the Joint Commission, and agreeing to continue dialogue on regional and international files within a framework of trust and mutual respect.
