The Indian stealth frigate concluded its visit to Casablanca and strengthened maritime cooperation with Morocco.

The newly launched frigate, INS Tumal, docked in the port of Casablanca for three days as part of efforts to enhance maritime collaboration between India and Morocco.

Launched in early July in Russia, the ship is on its way back to India, making stops at European and Asian ports. This visit marks the third for Indian warships to Moroccan shores in the last two years.

During its stay in Casablanca, the frigate organized joint activities with the Royal Moroccan Navy, which included high-level meetings, crew exchanges, and various sports and cultural events to bolster bilateral relations.

Before departing, the Indian frigate conducted a passage exercise (PASSEX) with the Moroccan frigate Mohammed VI, aiming to enhance operational coordination and understanding between the two navies and improve maritime security in the region.

The Indian Ministry of Defense confirmed that this visit reflects New Delhi’s commitment to developing military cooperation with Morocco and exploring new areas for defense partnership between the two countries.
