Dutch Journalist Reveals Details About Ziyech’s Future
According to reports from Dutch media, Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, who terminated his contract with Qatari club Al-Duhail earlier, may be on the verge of returning to the Eredivisie in the near future.
In statements made by Dutch journalist Munir Boulain on the program “TransferPioniers,” he indicated that Ziyech is not facing financial issues following his professional career, adding, “I hope he concludes his career in the Netherlands. Ajax is the first club that comes to mind due to the special time he spent there, and the team might need a player like him.”
He continued, saying: “Ziyech’s move to his former club Twente or to Heerenveen would be like ‘closing the circle’ and granting him a leadership role on the field.”
Ziyech, aged 32, joined Al-Duhail last January on a free transfer but left just four months later after playing 13 matches, during which he scored one goal and provided an assist.
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Moroccan player has been offered to three clubs in Serie A, although their names have not been disclosed. Media reports have also revealed interest from Spanish clubs Celta Vigo and Fiorentina in his services, and he was previously suggested to Turkish club Beşiktaş, though no formal negotiations took place.
