Internet Slowdown Troubling Maroc Telecom Customers and Paralyzing Businesses

Hundreds of Maroc Telecom customers have been suffering from a severe decline in internet service over recent days, especially with the fiber optics connection, leading to widespread anger among users, particularly in Casablanca and its outskirts.

Recurring outages and significant speed drops during peak times have turned the service into a daily obstacle. Business owners confirmed that their operations have been disrupted, transactions delayed, and remote meetings failed due to the network’s shortcomings.

Several customers stated in verbal feedback to “Express TV” that they were forced to revert to using 3G and 4G, despite their limitations, just to avoid a complete shutdown of their activities. Some described the situation as a “shame,” questioning the absence of any clarification or apology from the company, which collects high subscription fees without delivering adequate service.

Angry comments demand clear answers and immediate improvement in service. In contrast, the company remains silent.
