The judicial police in Kenitra successfully dismantled a network involved in filming and distributing adult content in furnished apartments in the city earlier this week. This operation led to the arrest of three individuals, including a young man and two women, who were caught in the act of filming sexual scenes using advanced digital equipment.
Informed sources revealed to “Express TV” that the security move followed the observation of suspicious activities, leading to the establishment of a field trap that resulted in raiding an apartment in the “Upper City” neighborhood of Al-Filout. During the raid, professional cameras, hard drives, lighting equipment, costumes used in filming, and tools for concealing the identities of the actresses in these adult films were confiscated.
Initial investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were conducting filming operations for monetary gain and uploaded videos—over 200 clips, each ranging from 3 to 15 minutes in length—to adult platforms outside Morocco, generating income based on view counts.
According to the same sources, the network employed advanced technical methods and operated entirely discreetly among various furnished apartments, complicating tracking efforts. It also became evident that some of the seized clips had achieved high viewership rates on foreign adult sites, raising questions about the extent of this phenomenon’s spread.
This security operation comes just days after “Express TV” published a special investigation titled “…… …… ……. ……. ……,” highlighting the proliferation of prostitution through digital content in cities like Kenitra, Marrakech, and Tangier, where minors are being targeted and exploited, all amid a lack of deterrent legislative frameworks and effective monitoring mechanisms.
The apprehended individuals have been placed under provisional detention under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s office, awaiting the completion of investigations to identify other involved parties and the digital extensions of this network that threatens societal values and exploits legal and regulatory loopholes.
