Total Energies and Al Barid Bank Bring Financial Services Closer to Citizens at Fuel Stations

Total Energies Morocco and Al Barid Bank have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at integrating financial services into the daily lives of Moroccans through Total Energies’ network of fuel stations.

The agreement stipulates the deployment of card payment solutions via electronic payment devices (TPE) and the SoftPOS application, which turns merchants’ smartphones into contactless payment terminals. Additionally, ATMs will be installed and Al Barid Cash points of sale will be activated at selected stations. This initiative targets high-traffic locations to provide financial services to both citizens and professionals.

The partnership also includes the launch of banking and financing offers specifically for Total Energies employees and station managers, along with initiatives to increase access to banking services for workers.

Abdessalam Ghanimi, General Manager of Total Energies Marketing in Morocco, stated, “Our partnership with Al Barid Bank reflects our commitment to providing useful and accessible services to as many citizens as possible, in addition to energy services.”

For his part, Amin Najjar, Chairman of the Board of Al Barid Bank, stated, “Through this partnership, we seek to make banking services more accessible and connected to the daily lives of Moroccans, while accelerating the digitalization of payment methods and enhancing financial inclusion.”

Total Energies and Al Barid Bank reiterate their commitment through this initiative to support innovation and enhance proximity as well as inclusive financial services to contribute to the economic and social development of the Kingdom.
