A group of blind pilgrims returned to the homeland at 12:15 AM on Sunday, June 29, 2025, aboard Royal Air Maroc flight AT2135, after performing the Hajj rituals for the year 1446 AH / 2025 AD. This initiative is part of the royal project led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

This return marked a new chapter in a series of royal initiatives that reflect the continuous care His Majesty shows towards blind and visually impaired individuals, enabling them to perform the sacred duty of Hajj annually under dignified conditions that uphold their rights.

The Moroccan Association for the Protection of Blind People, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Lamia, expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty, describing this initiative as a genuine embodiment of the royal vision grounded in equity and solidarity, recognizing the status of individuals with visual disabilities within society.

The organization noted in its statement that this royal gesture transcends the religious dimension, carrying profound human and social implications. It reflects His Majesty’s commitment to actively support the integration of this community, empowering them to exercise their rights equally alongside other citizens.

In this regard, the Moroccan Association confirmed its ongoing dedication to serving the issues of blind individuals and enhancing their societal presence, in line with royal directives that place the individual at the center of social policies and uphold the principle of equality and equal opportunities for all.
