Morocco celebrates the 55th anniversary of the birth of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid

The royal family and the Moroccan people are celebrating today, Friday, the 55th anniversary of the birth of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid. This occasion symbolizes the profound ties between the throne and the people, as Moroccans express their sincere feelings of affection and loyalty to the royal family.

Prince Moulay Rachid was born on June 20, 1970, in Rabat, where he completed his primary education before earning a bachelor’s degree in public law with honors in 1993 and a postgraduate diploma in international relations in 1996. His Highness distinguished himself academically by obtaining a doctorate in law from Bordeaux University in France in 2001 with a rigorous thesis on the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation.”

He presides over several prestigious cultural and sports institutions, including:
– The Royal Moroccan Federation of Game Shooting since 1997
– The Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation
– The Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association

Officially, Prince Moulay Rachid plays a prominent role in representing His Majesty the King at national and international events. He recently chaired:
– The opening of the 30th International Exhibition of Publishing and Book in Rabat
– The awards ceremony of the Hassan II Golf Championship
– The activities of the 15th edition of the Horse Exhibition in El Jadida

Internationally, he represented the kingdom at the reopening ceremony of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris and participated in the official welcome of French President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to Morocco.
