Auto Occasion 2025: Strengthening the Organization of the Used Car Market in Morocco
Autonews has announced the organization of the fourth edition of the "Auto Occasion" used car exhibition, set to take place from June 13 to 22, 2025, under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the Anfa Park in Casablanca.
This event, which has become a reference in the used car market in Morocco, aims to bring together various stakeholders in a rapidly growing sector. The opening ceremony will traditionally see the attendance of several prominent figures from both the public and private sectors.
The crisis of access to the new car market has deepened due to rising prices and stricter financing conditions, making used cars emerge as an option that combines affordability and efficiency. However, this sector still faces structural challenges, notably the lack of formal regulation, the dominance of unstructured interventions, and a lack of transparency in transactions. The exhibition seeks to provide practical solutions to these issues by offering a structured, secure, and professional environment.
The exhibition will dedicate over 10,000 square meters to accommodate around thirty exhibitors representing key players in the market, including certified used car dealers, spare parts suppliers, financing and insurance companies, and technical service specialists. This is aimed at delivering a comprehensive offering for visitors looking to purchase cars that have been inspected, come with mechanical guarantees, and appropriate financing solutions.
In 2024, the market recorded a record number of 775,121 ownership transfers, achieving a 28.5% increase compared to 2023. Private cars constituted the majority of these transactions at 537,299 units, reflecting a 29% rise, indicating the ongoing dynamism of a market that remains largely outside the formal framework.
Through this initiative, Autonews reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the structuring and development of the used car market in a way that meets Moroccan consumer expectations and enhances trust in the sector, at a time of significant transformations that demand innovative and sustainable solutions.
