Princess Lalla Hasna presided over the inaugural meeting of the Board of Directors of the Royal Theater Foundation in Rabat on Thursday evening. The official ceremony took place at the theater itself, with the attendance of Brigitte Macron, the wife of the President of France, alongside prominent figures from both Morocco and abroad.

This meeting is part of the operational activation of the foundation, which embodies the cultural vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, reflecting his commitment to art and culture as drivers of development and openness.

The Board of Directors consists of members from diverse backgrounds, united by a common commitment to promoting the Moroccan cultural scene. Among the participants are Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Brigitte Macron, Othman Benjelloun, Michael Zawi, Mokhtar Diop, Houda Khamis-Kano, Gad Elmaleh, Yim Shiel Kanizi, Hélène Mercier-Arnaud, Farid Ben Said, and Mohamed El Yaakoubi, the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.

The board will work on establishing a comprehensive strategic vision for the roles of the foundation, enhancing the Royal Theater in Rabat as a space for creativity and cultural exchange, and affirming its position as one of the leading cultural landmarks in the region.

The meeting featured a detailed presentation of the foundation’s objectives, which aim to support theatrical production, nurture talent, and provide artistic spaces that reflect the richness and diversity of Moroccan culture, while continuously being open to global experiences.
