Authorities Foil Bomb Attack During Lady Gaga Concert in Brazil
Brazilian authorities announced on Sunday that they thwarted a bomb attack during a massive concert by singer Lady Gaga in Rio de Janeiro, noting the arrest of two individuals suspected of involvement in the plot.
Approximately two million attendees gathered for the event held on the famous Copacabana beach, which was under heavy security and went on until the early morning hours.
The Rio de Janeiro police stated in a press release that, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, they "foiled a bomb attack that was set to take place during Lady Gaga’s concert at Copacabana."
