Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch chaired a meeting today in Rabat to discuss the roadmap for foreign trade for the period 2025-2027, aiming to make trade a driver of growth and job creation, in line with the directives of King Mohammed VI.

The meeting featured a presentation by the State Secretary for Foreign Trade, Omar Hjira, who outlined the three strategic goals of the roadmap: creating approximately 76,000 new jobs, expanding the base of exporters by establishing 400 new exporting companies annually, and generating an additional 84 billion dirhams in export revenues.

The government aims to leverage available opportunities in the international market while developing national capacities in promotion, support, and aligning Moroccan offerings with foreign demand.

During the meeting, Akhannouch emphasized the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises and encouraging them to access external markets, stating that enhancing foreign trade is a key lever for economic growth.

The roadmap includes six reform initiatives, notably speeding up the digitization of export processes, establishing regional offices to assist exporters, and supporting the exports of handicrafts and the social and solidarity economy.
