The government approved a draft decree regarding the transfer of some employees from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products and the Moroccan Agency for Blood and Its Derivatives, presented by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ameen Tehrawi.

The Minister responsible for relations with Parliament and government spokesperson, Mustafa Baitas, stated in a press conference following the cabinet meeting that this project is in implementation of the royal directives aimed at reconsidering the national health system and enhancing its appeal. It also serves to activate the provisions of Framework Law No. 06.22 concerning the national health system, which outlines the foundations of this reform, particularly regarding the enhancement of human resources working in the health sector.

The minister added that the draft decree is part of the ongoing implementation of Law No. 10.22 concerning the establishment of the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products and Law No. 11.22 concerning the establishment of the Moroccan Agency for Blood and Its Derivatives. This is in line with the provisions of paragraphs 4 and 5 of Article 23 of Finance Law No. 60.24 for the fiscal year 2025, as well as the government commitments made within the framework of social dialogue, which primarily concern maintaining the centrism of financial positions and salaries, as well as the public employee status for staff from the Ministry of Health.
