Air Ocean Morocco Reveals Details of Aircraft Skid Incident at Fez Airport

Air Ocean Morocco has disclosed details regarding an incident involving one of its aircraft on April 11, which veered off the runway during landing at Fez airport.

In a press release, the company stated that the aircraft in question, a Hawker 800 private jet, successfully landed at the airport but, for reasons still under investigation, was unable to come to a complete stop on the runway and continued moving until it collided with the external airport fence.

The airline reported that the crew, consisting of two highly experienced pilots and a flight attendant, was taken to the hospital as a precaution for medical checks, emphasizing that all crew members are in good condition and stable, and have returned to their homes. It noted that there were no passengers on board at the time of the incident.

Air Ocean Morocco confirmed that an official investigation is currently underway in close collaboration with the relevant local authorities to determine the exact cause of the incident, stressing that, as of now, no mechanical failure has been confirmed.

The company expressed regret over some media outlets publishing inaccurate information, describing the incident as a “crash,” which caused concern and confusion. Air Ocean Morocco firmly denied these claims, stating that what occurred cannot be described as a crash, and urged the media to exercise accuracy and responsibility in covering such events.

Air Ocean Morocco reiterated that its activities are proceeding normally, and all scheduled flights are continuing as planned, renewing its commitment to the highest safety, professionalism, and service quality standards.

The company also affirmed its intention to share updates as soon as any new information becomes available, expressing gratitude to its clients, partners, and the aviation community for their continued trust and support.
