The government council will convene next Thursday under the leadership of Aziz Akhannouch, the Prime Minister.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s office noted that the council will start by discussing three draft decrees: the first concerns the establishment of new districts and leadership, the second outlines the implementation of alternative sanctions, and the third addresses the application of Article 13 of the framework law regarding the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.
The same source added that the council will then move on to study two agreements between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The first pertains to the transfer of sentenced individuals, while the second involves mutual assistance in criminal matters, both signed in Riyadh on November 13, 2024, along with two draft laws aimed at ratifying the aforementioned agreements.
The council will conclude its work by reviewing proposals for appointments to high positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
