Mohamed Oujar, a member of the political bureau of the National Rally of Independents, expressed his profound emotions during each visit to the southern regions, emphasizing that “every step on this blessed land reminds us of the struggle of our citizens for territorial unity, and our deep gratitude for this integral part of Morocco.”

This statement came during a speech delivered by Oujar at a communication meeting held in Laayoune on Saturday, attended by the party president Aziz Akhannouch and a large number of members and affiliates, as part of a party tour encompassed within the “Path of Achievements” campaign.

Oujar clarified that the National Rally of Independents was founded amid the struggle for the recovery of the southern provinces, noting that its founding moments involved the engagement of youth from the Sahara, which makes this region an inseparable part of the party’s identity. He highlighted that the party has maintained the same spirit of commitment to these areas because it emerged from a foundation of patriotism and resistance.

The speaker added that the party president, Aziz Akhannouch, also comes from a family of resistance and continues to advocate for the nation’s just causes, foremost among them the Moroccan Sahara issue. He pointed out that the diplomatic wisdom of His Majesty King Mohammed VI has enabled Morocco to achieve significant strategic gains regarding international recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara, indicating that the country is now close to resolving this fabricated issue, despite ongoing attempts by opponents of territorial unity to obstruct progress.

In discussing party work, Oujar asserted that “when the Rally comes to Laayoune, it returns home,” emphasizing that the party is fulfilling its constitutional duty to engage and communicate with citizens, denying any rumors about entering an early electoral campaign. He stated: “Elections have their time; for now, we are working for the people.”

Oujar did not miss the opportunity to affirm that “the achievements of the National Rally of Independents are its electoral campaign,” indicating that the party enjoys the trust of citizens and that His Majesty the King, loyal to the spirit of the constitution, appointed the party to head the government after its victory in the legislative elections.

He concluded his speech by expressing pride in the fieldwork conducted by the party’s ministers, affirming that fulfilling promises and effectively implementing government programs is what differentiates the National Rally of Independents, allowing its political presence to transcend mere slogans into real and tangible actions.
