Ledda Academy Launches Its First Steps in Empowering Women Through Culinary Arts

Casablanca – The economic capital hosted the closing event of the first edition of Ledda Academy on Tuesday, an initiative launched by the “Ledda” brand aimed at supporting ambitious women in cooking and pastries by providing them with practical skills that lay the foundation for a sustainable professional start.

The program extended over four months, welcoming 150 participants from five cities: Casablanca, Fez, Meknes, Oujda, and Inzkan. They benefited from a comprehensive training that included theoretical and practical lessons on cooking techniques, dish presentation, and digital marketing. The training was overseen by professional chefs in partnership with local training centers.

The closing ceremony, held at the Sidi Momen Vocational Training Center, began with a welcoming speech by the center’s director, followed by an inspiring presentation from Halima Filali, who shared her experience in digital entrepreneurship and offered practical advice to participants on building a successful professional project from scratch.

Hind Hnash, Marketing Director at Lesieur Cristal Group, emphasized in her speech that this initiative is not isolated but aligns with the institution’s vision to enhance women’s entrepreneurship and connect the brand’s role with real social responsibility. She explained that Ledda Academy reflects the company’s belief that training is a crucial tool for achieving economic independence for women and youth.

The certificate distribution marked an emotional moment, as the beneficiaries expressed pride in the skills they had acquired and the relationships built during the training period. The event concluded with a raffle, adding an atmosphere of interaction and joy among participants and attendees.

Ledda Academy represents a new experience that confirms brands’ ability to transcend their traditional roles and transform into community actors that provide practical solutions to real issues, such as women’s economic empowerment.

Lesieur Cristal, the driving force behind this project, is one of the prominent industrial players in Morocco. For over eighty years, it has accompanied the development of production chains related to vegetable oils, and its products have become part of the daily lives of Moroccan consumers. The company, within the framework of its “Serving the Land” vision, is working to expand its social impact through projects focused on innovation, sustainability, and solidarity.
