Ugandan Agriculture Minister: The International Agricultural Fair in Morocco as an Inspiration for Africa

The State Minister for Agriculture in Uganda, Fred Bwino Kyakulaga, praised the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco during his visit on Wednesday in Meknes, calling it “a real lesson for the continent” and “an inspiration for all of Africa.”

In a press statement following a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests, Ahmed Bouarfa, the Ugandan official expressed his admiration for the quality of the technologies, products, and services exhibited, affirming that this fair is a testament to Africa’s capability to succeed and overcome development challenges.

This participation also reflects the exchange of views on various agricultural issues discussed during the meetings held alongside the seventeenth edition of the fair, particularly regarding the relationship between water and agriculture in the context of climate change.

Kyakulaga emphasized the importance of cooperation among African countries to develop joint solutions, especially in facing challenges related to irrigation and climate resilience.

The activities of the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco 2025, organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, continue with the participation of over 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries under the theme “Agriculture and Rural World… Water at the Heart of Sustainable Development.”

It is worth noting that this international fair is a significant event for agricultural policies and an important platform to enhance exchanges, strengthen international partnerships, and highlight practical solutions to the challenges facing the agricultural sector.
