The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in partnership with “Con International” and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, has launched the “GITEX Future Health Africa/Morocco” exhibition as part of the third edition of the “GITEX Africa Morocco” event, the largest technological gathering on the African continent.

This leading health technology event is expected to take place in Casablanca from April 21 to 23, 2026, serving as a strategic platform to promote digitization in African health systems and exchange best practices in this field.

The announcement of the exhibition’s launch came during the signing of a strategic partnership agreement under the supervision of Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amin Tehrani, who emphasized that organizing this event reflects Morocco’s firm commitment to making healthcare a comprehensive human right. He highlighted that digital transformation will improve service quality, enhance competencies, and expand access to healthcare.

Tehrani explained that innovation in healthcare has become an urgent necessity to address the challenges facing the health system, stressing the importance of strengthening international partnerships and directing investments toward health priorities, while developing infrastructure and human resources to achieve a more effective and equitable health system.

For its part, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health confirmed that the exhibition aligns with its commitment to supporting medical digitization in Morocco and Africa, aiming to position the kingdom as a reference hub in health technology by leveraging its expertise in training and scientific research.

Meanwhile, the organizing entity, “Con International,” represented by its CEO Trixi Lo Mermand, highlighted that updating and digitizing health systems has become a global goal. She added that the exhibition will provide a platform for sharing innovations based on artificial intelligence and data analysis, promoting partnerships between the public and private sectors as a key leverage for ensuring sustainable digital transformation.

The exhibition is expected to feature a high-level leadership summit gathering health ministers, government officials, and experts in innovation and health policies to discuss strategic issues including infrastructure, health coverage, data protection, attracting investment, and integrating digital medical records.

Additionally, the event will host a comprehensive health innovation pavilion, showcasing the latest medical technologies, from laboratory and diagnostic equipment to artificial intelligence solutions and smart hospital technologies, as well as facility management systems and digital services.

“GITEX Future Health Africa/Morocco” represents a pivotal step in the history of digital health transformation on the African continent and offers an opportunity to unify efforts among various stakeholders toward a more efficient, equitable, and sustainable health system.
