Bensaïd: Signing of 7,000 Agreements with Associations and Clubs Working in Youth Affairs

Mohamed Mahdi Bensaïd, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, stated yesterday during the oral questions session in the House of Representatives that 7,000 partnership agreements have been signed with associations and clubs active in the field of youth.

In response to an oral question regarding “the ministry’s programs to promote youth centers,” raised by the Independence group for unity and mutuality, the minister highlighted that these agreements are part of the national initiative to activate youth institutions for the 2024-2025 season, which has been launched to benefit associations concerned with youth, whether operating within youth centers or carrying out their activities in their own premises.

Bensaïd added that the ministry is keen to inject new dynamics into youth institutions by launching programs and activities in collaboration with institutional stakeholders and those concerned with youth and childhood. He emphasized that efforts have been made to diversify programs and activities in terms of educational guidance, cultural and artistic activities, as well as capacity and skill development.

As part of the national initiative to activate youth institutions, Bensaïd noted that the ministry has launched a series of programs and activities, including equipping 150 youth centers with pedagogical materials and tools, including electronic games.

He also mentioned the establishment of a special certification project for socio-cultural activities (ASAS) by creating more than 100 proximity training centers within youth centers to train association leaders in the field of association management. Additionally, the digital platform animateur.ma has been developed, along with the creation of the digital platform jam3iya.ma for the digital management of youth institutions.

The minister explained that the ministry is committed to promoting the principle of volunteering by establishing thematic clubs, alongside forging partnerships with national and international groups and organizations, and organizing a national program for youth festivals across various fields, especially traditional games, theater, music, reading, and folklore.

It is worth noting that Bensaïd confirmed that the ministry works annually to renovate and repair a number of youth centers as part of a program launched in 2021, indicating that the program will be completed this year.
